Some small but pretty visitors this morning, albeit unsurprising ones. There seems to be an inexhaustible supply of Red-green Carpet moths in this part of Leeds. There were seven of them in the trap and two posed obligingly in these contrasting 'flat' and 'furled' positions when I gently decanted them.
Alongside them was this Spruce Carpet and a solitary November moth. In terms of meteorology and its connection with moths' liveliness or otherwise, it was a windy night. Like the cold, that seems to keep them indoors, or inshrubs. At home.
