Here's looking at you, kid




Four Muslin moths and one Flame Shoulder in the trap tonight. Temperatures are still dropping very low once darkness falls and a moth needs a woolly collar in such conditions.  Male Muslins always flaunt their antennae like this, never 'sheathing' them in the manner of most moths. Why? Always on the alert? Or just showing off?

Meanwhile, I chased a day-flying scrap of moth around the garden for quite a spell before getting the photograph below. A Green Carpet in a green shade.
